Music Tech Investments Up in Q1 2010
The first quarter of this year has seen significant venture capital activity in music technology - almost 110 million in transactions. As a follow-up to my post yesterday about the M&A deals for Q1 2010, below is a brief list of the music tech investments I'm aware of from January 01, 2010 through March 31, 2010. As you can see from the charts below, this a significant increase from 2009 and 2008.

- February 23, 2010: Spotify receives an investment from the Founders Fund (terms not disclosed)
- February 24, 2010: Music Mastermind raises $4.85M
- February 26, 2010: MOG raises 9.5 million
- March 02, 2010: Beamz Interactive creator of innovative music instruments and software and raises $2.48M
- March 04, 2010: The Echo Nest receives $500K from the National Science Foundation for Phase IIB SBIR grant
- March 09, 2010: Mixed Media Labs raises $370K
- March 12, 2010: Sonos raises 25 million from Index Ventures
- March 25, 2010: SwapTree secures 4.8 million
- March 29, 2010: BlogTalkRadio raises 1.9 million
